We’re hiring a board member!

CIHC is looking for a new Board member who is committed to reproductive justice and abortion access in Ontario. See the full job posting here.

The Board meets 8 times a year, with a monthly commitment of up to 4 hours. Meetings are primarily virtual, but you may be asked to participate in in-person meetings in Toronto. Board packages are sent electronically (in English) in advance of meetings. A term is a 3-year commitment, with the possibility of a second term.

If you have a commitment to pro-choice philosophy and equity, please consider applying. We are prioritizing candidates with strong finance and fundraising expertise, including:

• CPA designation (preferred)

• Financial oversight/governance experience, especially in non-profit, charitable, or healthcare environments

• Knowledge of sector-specific financial practices (e.g., multi-stream funding, restricted donations, Ministry-funded models, audit/compliance)

• Governance experience in fundraising and grants

We also welcome applicants who bring additional strengths in: anti-oppression and anti-racism, communications, disability rights, healthcare, or lived/professional experience within 2SLGBTQ, BIPOC, or /differently abled communities.

We will prioritize candidates who self-identify as:

• Having a Disability/Being Differently Abled
