Meet our new Executive Director, Maryam Pandi

I am thrilled to have joined the dedicated team at Choice in Health as of May 2023. Before Choice, I worked at Sexual Assault Centre Kingston where I had the true pleasure of leading an amazing team who worked tirelessly toward eliminating sexual and gender-based violence in their community and provided support for survivors. As a gender justice advocate, I look forward to working alongside other advocates, care providers, and our community members in contributing to the Reproductive Justice movement by centering the importance of compassionate care and equitable access for all.

With the intersectional lens through which I view the world, I believe that white supremacy, colonization, and patriarchy are at the heart of the anti-choice propaganda and are often used as means to control marginalized bodies and lives. The vision I hope to accomplish, alongside my team at Choice and our allies, is to facilitate true reproductive choice and access for every single person, especially disabled, BIPOC, and 2SLGBTQI+ folks in our communities.
